Continuity editing- 500 days of Summer

To get a better understanding of continuity editing, I looked at the film ‘500 days of Summer’. In this scene we see the main character happily walking down the street.

This is the first shot in sequences; we can see the main character coming out of a building.

In this next shot we can see the main character has turned left onto a street. This makes sense as the character is wearing the same cloths and by the same building help walk out of.

This shot is taken from the character point of view. This makes sense as main character is still walking in the same direction and on the same street.

This shot is of the main character checking his reflation. This shot makes sense because the main character is wearing the same cloths, walking in the same direction and is on the same street as before.

This shot shows what the main character in looking into and what he believes he looks like. This shot makes sense because can just see the main character shoulder and he still looking at his reflection like the previous shot.

How this scenes was filmed
